On February 7th, 1973 I was born in
Bünde
,
Westfalia
, Germany.
From 1979 to 1983 I visited primary school in Holsen, Bünde
I finished school in 1992 after nine years of secondary school at the ``Freiherr-vom-Stein Gymnasium'' in Ennigloh,
Bünde
In October 1992 I started to study
Computer Science
at the
University of the Saarland
in Saarbrücken, Germany. My subsidiary subject was
Computational Linguistics
.
In 1996 I spent five months (March to July) at the
Rijksuniversiteit Groningen
, the Netherlands, in order to learn Dutch. I attended classes in Dutch morphology and psycho-linguistics.
From 1996 to 1998 I worked for the
Computational Linguistics and Phonetics department
and the
DFKI
at implementing several parts (wave generation, morphological lexicon look-up and WWW-interface) of a
text-to-speech system
in C++ and Perl.
June 1998 I spent in New York City in order to improve my English.
In September 1998 I finished
my Diplomarbeit
(similar to Master's Thesis) at the
Chair for Compiler Design
